How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Cold Plunge? (2026 Pricing Guide)

Thinking about renting a cold plunge for an event, a team, or a week of recovery at home? Here's what cold plunge rentals actually cost, what affects the price, and how to pick the right setup.

Typical cold plunge rental prices

Prices vary by company and region, but rentals generally fall into two types: a tub with a chiller that keeps the water cold on its own, and a tub-only ice bath. As a real example, here's what Valley Cold Plunges charges:

  • Tub with 1HP chiller: $250 per day, with setup included within 30 miles of Fresno, CA
  • Tub only (ice bath): $175 per day, $350 for two days, or $400 for up to a week
  • Shipped rental: $500 minimum for up to a week, plus round-trip shipping quoted by destination

What affects the price

Chiller vs. ice

A chiller costs more up front but saves you from buying, hauling, and replacing ice all day. For events longer than a few hours or with lots of people, a chiller is usually the better value.

Rental length

Multi-day and weekly rentals cost less per day. If you want to try plunging at home before buying, a one-week rental is the most economical way to test it.

Delivery, setup, and shipping

Local rentals often include delivery and setup within a set radius. Farther events add travel costs, and shipped rentals add freight both ways.

Renting vs. buying

An inflatable cold plunge with a 1HP chiller costs around $2,250 to buy. If you'll plunge more than a few weeks a year, buying usually wins. For one-off events, renting avoids storage, maintenance, and upfront cost. Many of our customers rent first, then buy once they know they'll use it. See our cold plunges for sale.
